This blog is to chronicle my journey with thyroid cancer. I decided to start this blog after finding out that my thyroid cancer might be back. I hope that this blog helps others through their thyroid cancer adventures, making it less scary, or just to be more knowledgeable about their own bodies. The most important thing that I learned is to advocate for yourself and demand that tests are done, even if the doctor shrugs it off the first or second time. Don’t wait like I did. If I had advocated better for myself early on, I probably wouldn’t be writing this blog now.
Who am I?
I’m a 30-something mother and wife. I’ve lead a mostly sedentary life, like most adults. I ate whatever I liked, although avoided corn syrup where I could. I could do a better job of exercising. All in all, probably a lot like you.
Disclaimer
I’m not a healthcare professional. I can’t diagnosis you, and please don’t think that I have all the answers, because I don’t. Please talk with your doctor about your health. And whatever else legalese crap I should have here, please pretend I have it here.
